Problem

I noticed that my Job's have a blue bar in the header, full of financial details. How are these numbers calculated?

Solution

Subject to your user permissions, you may see the following blue header bar when you open up your Job. This bar gives you a quick overview of what you job is costing you.

It uses the job data collected from within the Actual and Billable reports, overhead and mark up percentages set in your Job's financial setup, plus your pricing tables to calculate your costs in real time.

A  Fixed Cost: The quoted value of your job. This value includes your job markup.
Rates: Uses the Billable value for the rates component of your works. The Billable value comes from the selected Pricing Table. There are no markup or overheads in this calculation.
C  Actual (inc Overheads): This value is calculated on all works (Quoted and Rates) and uses the Net Cost Table. It includes your Overhead percentage.
D  Current Billable: The value of this Job to date, if you were to charge the work as a rates job only, based on the Pricing Table selected.
E  Job Value: The total value of the Job ie Quoted (A) plus Rates (B)
