What is the difference between Job Markup and Job Overheads?

Solution

Great question!

Job Markup is the percentage markup you add to your Job estimate to calculate your Job Quote. This value is used to help determine your profit margin on the works.

Job Overhead is the percentage used to add costs incurred by business that are not directly costed to a job, such as the cost of support staff, insurances, vehicle hire or maintenance, office equipment and PPE etc. The Job Overhead is used to help calculate the Actual value of your Job.

Both values are set at Job level within the Organisations Setup and are visiable within the Job's Financial pages.

For information about where to set or edit these rates see: Financial Setup
